Hard A/C line keeps breaking

Not sure what to make of this one. Hard a/c line going to the compressor on my 2018 ZLE broke once already, replaced it and 1 track event later it broke again. It doesn’t appear that the belt is close enough to be hitting it. Solid BMR motor mounts so nothing should be flexing.

Any possibility that the other end of that a/c line has positionally changed from its exact OEM placement? Maybe you opened up that gap at the failure point for visualization, if you didn’t it seams to me that the hose is either too short or something has changed. Also a possibility that a clamp has gone missing that perhaps stabilizes the hose.

Pretty sure I found the problem. 3 of the 4 bolts for my BMR motor mounts were missing on the drivers side. I had started another thread about a supercharger belt that rubbed through my intercooler pump until it leaked. All related to this. 2nd replacement of the line, evacuation of the system and recharge. Expensive missed diagnosis on my part. I’m sure these were tight when installed, now they have blue locktite on them and will be checked again after a few hundred miles.

Makes total sense. Like so many parts that seem unnecessary, it is very possible that the reason the OEM motor mounts are seemingly over engineered, is because of this type of scenario.. Anyway good find, it certainly could have snowballed.
