Yeah definitely a leap forward from an engineering standpoint.

Either way without a tire it's tough. Mashing it off idle in the a8 actually hits the tires harder. IIRC the stall speed in the stock converter is around 3000. Part of the reason we've seen high 1.6 60 ft stock tune and pray cut a 1.57 with mods and torque management adjustments. You can hear and feel a slight bog when going WOT at the start when stock. In his videos compared to mine you can hear the difference. Slight bog sound on mine and his gets right to it.

+1 on 5g comparison. I had a 505 rwhp ls3 2010. Not much quicker than my car currently. After my next round of mods I'm sure this car will be faster with a lot less effort. I also enjoy driving it and the feel a lot more. Great car. Looks have really grown on me too

My mods are just DR, cate delete, and E85 tune...for now lol. I launched just like I would on the street, just more aggressive with the RPM.

Do you have a six speed? It would be nice to see what that combo would do with a manual car.

Yessir, 6 speed and getting the 20" Micky T DRs so I don't have to change wheel/tire to hit the track.

If you are talking about the 305/20 Mickey DR then your 9.5 wheel is a little narrow, I believe the minimum recommended width is 10.5.
