HID lamps are already pretty good, and when you replace them, they will last a good while. Sent from toaster or something

Check these guys out. I have bought 3 kits from them over the years and all were top notch quality!

Any justifiable reason why Sylvania is selling these stock HID bulbs at $150 a pop? Sounds like highway robbery. I mean I'm all for buying American products but this is ridiculous. I could see if they came with 15 or 20 year warranties, but they don't. Sounds like the are taking advantage of the situation.

HID headlights are typically fairly unique in their wiring setup and power requirements. Converting to LED could be WAY more hassle than its worth.
Start with warranty and go from there. I've only ever had one issue with HID bulbs and it was in my 2015 Sierra. The bulbs originally used were problematic because of how they threw light to the side and GM swapped them to a different brand as part of a TSB. I've never had one burn out. |

Just sayin'...it isn't buying American As to the rest of this thread, I would leave HID as they are, conversion is not worth it. |

My drivers side went out, bought a set of these in 5500k. Working great so far. They say their pure white but do have a slight blue tint to them. |

Typical fluorescent bulbs are around 4000 if you want another reference. |

I watched a new tech swap a bulb on my 1999 BMW 328i with HIDs. He didn't disconnect the battery or power cable from the ballast. The car was replaced due to electrical fire and he was taken away in an ambulance. But you know, you COULD save a few seconds? |
