Always sad to see but it happens. A ZL1 1LE crashed in turn 9, 3 corners before the checkered flag to end the last session of the day for that group. Talking to the driver he was going for his fastest lap of the day and push too hard in turn 9. Car broke loose and slid off the track into the K-wall. Took off the front clip, damage the hood and flattened the passenger side of the car front to back.

If you are new to tracking, my advice is, don’t try to do your fastest lap when you are most likely tired at the end of the day. Take it down and notch and practice getting the line down.

Just glad the driver was ok.

big ooff i have gone off track once or twice but havent crashed but i have seen a few pretty bad ones. our camaro buddy mark crashed at fontana and didnt have track insurance and he said it was about 15k
