2016/2017 Camaro SS, LT, and ZL1 Smoked / Blackout Tail lights Install Guide

The install on these new lights is fairly easy, these are the GM DOT approved lights and can be purchased at your dealer or certified GM reseller. In my case, I purchased mine at Phastek Performance.

Details on these lights: http://bit.ly/6thGenDarkTaillights

Well i have 1 done. Not sure if you (or anyone else that has done this) has these on the inner most posts. I can't unscrew them. So I'm cutting them off carefully. Give me a min to change my settings and upload the picture

Just pull the light straight out after you undo the regular nuts. It will take a tug or two but they will come out

Looks good! What did you do for tint on your middle brake light? Looks like it matches pretty well with dark tails

Thanks you for the compliment. The 3rd brake light is actually from Phastek. Fits great and when brakes are applied the word Camaro is etched in the film so that shows through.

Very good customer service and fast delivery with Phastek. I highly recommend them and this product.

Literally all you had to do was tap the bolts with a hammer and the tail lights pop right out

It took me about 5 min to slice the orange things off with my Leatherman. So about the same time it would have taken to go get my hammer. I did it still in less than 45 min or so.
I do like these more than the stock lights. I thank everyone on this DIY section as well as all the others for the help and knowledge spread on here
Being in Hawaii there aren't really alot of get togethers so I spend my time admiring everyone's camaro's on this forum

Basically push really hard on the black tab after pulling the red locking tab back. It can be a pain.
