Ok guys, I have a tenative plan for the journey to Camaro5 Fest, let me know what you think.

0500 MST - Las Cruces - depart Pic Quick on University (Usual meeting spot)

0600 MST - Meet El Paso group on east side El Paso gas station (anybody that knows a good gas station on the far east side of El Paso feel free to chime in as everybody should top off here just to be safe)

0900-0930 MST or 1000-1030 CDT - Fill up in Fort Stockton, meet up with any eastern NM people that are interested.

Approx. 1330 MST or 1430 CDT - Break for lunch in San Antonio (Use to be a Steak n' Shake off of I-10, will call to verify if that sounds good to you'all) after lunch, fuel up and make the jump to Baytown

Approx. 1900 CDT - Arrive in Baytown

The Truck Stop in Horizon City should be a good meeting spot for the El Paso Group.

I think unless we leave at midnight or 1:00 were gonna be hitting Houston traffic, hopefully we will be coming in as rush hour is dying down this way.

I think most everybody is working the day before so that makes it hard to leave much earlier, with our stops we should be hitting Houston about 7-7:30, so hopefully we will miss traffic and still get a good nights rest before the long drive. The parking lot should just be starting to liven up about 8:30-9:00 so we should have time to get checked in and probably grab a bite at the meet & greet before the real fun begins.

Well just an update for those coming through or meeting us on the way, we now will just be meeting at the truckstop in Horizon city for departure at 6:00 am, all pit stops should be the same.

Also we will be using radios (walkie talkies) on the trip so throw yours in.

One last thing, for those meeting up with us along the way, post up so we have an idea who to wait for, you can also message me you phone number and I will send you mine so we can try and keep in touch along the way or if times get messed up for some reason.

It might be better if we meet up in horizon then fuel up in vanhorn cuz if we fuel up in el Paso then in fort Stockton we might be running on fumes getting there.. I think its like 280 miles

Its only 222 miles from Horizon City to Fort Stockton according to google maps. The long stretch is from Fort Stockton to San Antonio which is 311 miles, if we need to we can stop early in Kerrville for that one and cut it back to about 260 miles. There really isn't anything between Ft. Stockton and Kerrville though.

The last trip I took that way, I filled up in Ft. Stockton and had plenty to get back to Cruces. I don't know what the fuel range on your car is, but on the SS its about 350 miles.

I have never driven east of El Paso down I-10, so you guys decide what would be the best course in terms of fuel and I will follow.
