ZLE A10 Tranny Flush: one-use bolts?

Hi All:

I've had my 2023 ZL1 10-speed auto transmission fluid serviced once, and I'm going to be doing it again because GM recommends doing so every 15 hours of track driving. I purchased the appropriate filter and gasket (see screen shot), and I'll use the appropriate Dexron ULV auto-trans fluid.

My question is whether there are any single-use bolts I need to get? Geoff (h018871) has a nice post about one-use bolts for his 2020 ZL1 (https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...1&postcount=61), stating that this bolt kit (GM # 22688153) was needed. I can't tell, however, whether this applies to the A10 in my 2023 ZLE. Does anyone know if I need to get this kit, and if so, which one? Or are there one-use bolts at all?

Thank in advance!

Jim

FYI two related threads:

* There’s a great thread by Stephen12ZL1 about an ATF flush on our A10 ZL1s: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...10+fluid+flush)

* For those of you preparing your ZLEs for track, you'll find some great feedback to a query I made about a year ago when I got my new 2023 ZLE and was getting it prepared for my first track use: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=612681

22688153 is not the # you need. I'm not seeing it in that thread.

Kit # 24298876 contains the one time use bolts you need, as referenced in the first thread post you linked.

Thanks. So, the kit is as shown in this screen shot? What do these? Hold the AT filter in place? Do I need to also replace the series of shorter bolts that hold the cover in place? Sorry if I'm being duh. I just want to provide all the parts needed to the speed shop that works on my car. TIA. Jim

I'm referring to the small bolts (maybe 17 of them?) that hold the actual tray on? Those can be re-used? TIA. Jim

The bolts that secure the transmission oil filter are aluminum and one time use, they are the ones that come with the kit and have no weight to them.

Correct, the kit as shown has some aluminum one time use bolts. You will not be using all the bolts in the kit. IIRC, the filter is retained by two of these aluminum bolts. I have the A10 in my SS 1LE and have already done the fluid/filter change.

And the small bolts that hold the pan on are reusable, nothing to worry about there.
