Ok
Going by that, no reason to have anything more than a Civic for the street.

Changing tires helped the ride some.
Going from the Goodyears to the Continental Extreme Contacts softened the ride a little, and then going to the Conti DWS all seasons are even softer.

DSC controller can make them soft if you want. But there’s no reason to degrade a 1LE. Just sell it and get a car better suited for your needs

I came from a Civic Si

The 1LE rides a bit firmer even on its softest setting, but it's 3x the car!

I don't know if I want to get back into a 3rd Camaro or not and I have a 15 Mustang GT PP manual. The manual trans in those suck and are garbage. If I end up selling it, I'll probably end up in something Euro that's "entertaining" to drive yet comfortable. I drive about 15k a year. I also have a 22 Suzuki GSX-S1000 GT for my weekend "spirited" riding.
It makes sense that the ride quality would degrade with worn dampers, especially secondary ride when you go over small road deformation.
Avoid runflats too, I learned it the hard way.

I drove a Ferrari 458 last summer and trust me, these cars do not ride that rough for a sports car. I gotta say when I got back in my 2017 1SS 1LE after thrashing that Ferrari for an hour or so, I was in love with it like the day I bought it. So much quieter, easier to get in and out of, better ride. Doesn't quite look as sexy, and has no where near the appeal. But honestly, I didn't miss the Ferrari at all, and my ears quit ringing after a couple days of driving my Camaro. That was a plus! Gotta say though, that 458 was fun. And it is good at what it does. There is no way that thing is a DD.

I would keep that 1LE stock, people are already looking for them, and after 2024 that will only increase.

This is a simple fix. Get sidewall. Run a 18 or 19

I find it quite comfortable, even on 400+ mile road trips, in sport mode, I think I tried touring once for a few minutes....

Comfort is personal, go with the model that feels best to you.
AGREE'D. I'm 62 and I take my 1LE on 15 hour road tripS straight through to Idaho. Had a great time driving the Mtn roads and Hwys. As far as the ride quality...... the 1LE was not bad at all. I did change out the GY's for PS4's, the ride quality is better and if i hit some rain I don't have to worry so much about grip..

It’s been very hard for me to find a modern manual car that is as stimulating while still being somewhat serviceable and reliable.

For example I liked driving the 991 but you have to take the bumper off just to replace the air intake filters. I knew two guys with GT350s and both had their engines fail spectacularly (one of them alongside me at a 70 mph cruise). BMW S55 doesn’t sound as good and needs spark plugs every 30k. CT4BW is objectively better but doesn’t grab me emotionally. Supra has too many fake vents. Good luck with supply chain system on a Lotus. That leaves the Miata, Cayman, OG M2, and Mustang Mach 1.

I gave up on new cars and now look primarily to 2010 and earlier.

My 16 was my only car and dailyed it all year round in the north east. My commute to work was a brutal 72 miles each way a mix of highway and back roads. Snow rain etc. I find these cars really reliable and cheap to service. I did the same commute with a ‘14 gt for a few years as well.

Again

Sidewall sidewall sidewall

It really transformed the car to a comfy grand tourer
