So they suck because their service departments are small? Are all service departments at Ford dealerships the same size? Are we talking square footage or quantity of team members. You aren't making much sense here but it's my thread and we can have fun with it if you want.

Guess Toyota's are extremely unreliable... They have huge service departments

The old ECOTEC 4 banger in my Cobalt is pretty stout. I've carried 4 people on several occasions with the A/C on and the thing never bogged. I also test drove a 2014 BMW 320i with a 4 banger, that thing was eye opening! You can do a lot with a 4 banger. I expect the Camaro 4 will be no slouch.

And BTW, It is my opinion that dealer service centers are intended to perform maintenance at a profit, not to fix up the completely unreliable cars they sell.

Yep, they're fun little engines, reliable too. My Cobalt Ecotec 2.2 has 154k on it and doesn't burn a drop of oil. I expect to get 200k before getting rid of it. Still on the original clutch too.

This kid had one(Turbo 4 Stang) at the track in May and ran a bunch of low 14's at 97/98 mph.
He said his best ever was a 13.7 at 101 He had a tune exhaust and CAI.

They run 13.7 stock, lol. They run high 12's with a tune, CAI, and radials

Kitchener! Milt Schmidt's hometown!
Truth be told, my '70 Buick with the 462 cubic inch engine, much more torque, and the same weight as a 5Gen 1SS coupe makes my '12 SS sound like a joke. But my '12 SS would spank it seven ways till Sunday in any race. A 4 cylinder car doesn't have to sound like a can of farts, either.

Read up on ATS 2.0T reviews. There are folks out there who actually prefer it to the LFX. Discounting modern turbo 4s, particularly GM's turbo 4s, is foolish.

Prius owners and Camaro owners that put their weekend ride away every winter will have something in common. A beautiful & economical DD option.

Have I logged onto the wrong forum? I wait 40 years to get a true muscle car, join a Camaro forum and now we're talking the virtues of a 4 cylinder car? (some at least) I've driven weak offerings from almost everyone over the years because I rent a lot. Most 4 CYL cars are borderline dangerous they're so slow. Just one man's opinion but I think modding a 4 banger for performance is pointless unless it was some kind of racing mandate or something.
I for one don't welcome the future. In fact, I may have bought my last car!
