I guess I wasn't paying attention. They are pretty different. Here is a shot from the real camera, just ignore the deformed outer-diffuser on the right.

Of course, a photo is one thing and seeing it in person is different.

Please keep up the comments. I'm interested in how many people would prefer the darker version. This needs to be planned for.

Also, keep in mind that C5 seems to limit updating here to one post per day. Check out our Google+ page linked in my sig for the most up-to-date info.

Wish I could see these in person. I like the dark lens, I just wonder if it's bright enough.

There is no tint on the lens. It's stock with dark material inside, like the RS lamps.

Hey, that makes two posts today!

I like the brightness of the lighter one, but I like the texture/detail/shadowy bottom part of the darker one lol.

Maybe the bright/lighter material one with a bottom portion that has more exaggerated edges, to create more shadow would be ideal IMO. But I would buy either of these as is. Leaning more towards the brighter one over the darker

I love both versions. I love the brightness of the first but do however like the dark version as it sits. Maybe the darker version gets as bright as the one without dark lens?

I'd buy either or. I guess I'd end up leaning towards the brighter version.

I like the darker "tint" of the right side but I like the brightness and contrast of the lighter one on the left.

Question, in the video, post forever ago, it looked like the afterburn effect is always on the bright "break lights on" setting and the center matches the brightness when you are actually breaking or the turn signal is on. Did I see that right?

Like the dark version. The darker core looks more like I've pictured this.
If in real life the outer edge has some variation of yellow and orange, I'd especially love that. Looks more like a real afterburner on a jet would.

Lenses are the same on both: Stock (no tint). Also, for those that missed it, the lenses are not different between non-RS and RS.

The outer portion is always on and at the same brightness. When braking or signalling, the center comes on.

Since the lens is red, it's all just variations on that. The yellow is just a photographic artifact.

I like the idea that was mentioned about a combo, light/dark setup. In process...
