I am truly honored to be able to count myself as one of many of us that have been honored to meet Scott.

He is one of the rare that is larger than life to us, but as down to earth as any of us.

I met him a few years back, super nice guy. Very sad to hear this. Prayers and best wishes for a great guy!

Scott at the minimum deserves a classy large statue at the entrance of the #1 Plant that produces Camaros wherever that may be. Kelly Slater has a statue and Kelly did not exactly change the surfing world.

I will try to update here on Scott for general information. As of now, he is recovering from a stroke. Tests done over the weekend are as positive as they can be. Initial function signs were pretty good. They are doing a speech test today so we are praying for a positive outcome there. He seems to be progressing on a typical timeline for a stroke. I am told it could be a week or 2 before we see what we are dealing with. I am in touch with the doctors and thank heavens for his friend and doc Neil who is walking me through every test result. Please don't call the hospital or Elaine as they will be overloaded. Also know the family is working on this, let us do our job. Scott has so many great friends it is hard to deal with everybody on an individual basis. The best thing you can do is Pray. Thanks to all of you for your concern.

Update on Scott . He required surgery which occurred today. The doctor said "it couldn't have gone better". He is going to need therapy and again it may take a few weeks to know but signs are as good as can be. I think he needs camarotherapy so post your get well wishes on his timeline. If he does not respond quick enough i will take him on a ride in a ZL 1 and remove some mailboxes. This post will be approved by Scott.

UPDATE ON Scott Settlemire
He had surgery yesterday to remove a blood clot from his brain. Drs told us he had a bleeding stroke (hemorrhagic stroke) which clotted. It happened in the speech center of the brain, so he will need therapy. They'll be watching him closely for the next day or two to make sure everything is healing and the swelling goes down. After that he will need to go to a rehab center for a while. Dr is pleased with the way the surgery went. Now let's all hope for the best!! Please do not try to contact the family....waaaay too many people know and love Scott! lol ....and we do appreciate it!...just a little overwhelming. ߘ Our prayers are being heard!! Yay! Thank you all!!!
