You can pull the fuse if you want. You can also get what you want by making sure the exhaust is set to Track mode and then when you go WOT the flaps will be fully open. With the fuse pulled the flaps stay open all the time. In Track mode for the exhaust the same flaps are wide open as well anytime you are getting on it. Then they will close as you go back to low throttle. All of this said assumes you have dual mode exhaust.

I love NPP ( dual mode exhaust). I have it locked in track mode. It’s loud when I want it and quiet when I’m cruising. I triied the fuse pull and put it back because I wanted it quiet when just cruising along.

Just pulled the fuse and drove it in sport mode. Sounds aggressive at all speeds. Got it up to 50-55mph and cruised for a few blocks. Very impressive.

I have NPP, at first I ordered it just for the quad tips.
Initial thoughts were its too boy racer but I was wrong.
Its a great set up for being an OE product.
Got try at least once all open all the time mode

I like the sport exhaust setting the most

I also like sport mode the best, but I think I'll keep the fuse out for a little longer. It's definitely fun times.

Add some long tube headers to the the factory NPP and pull the fuse. Same factory sound just a lot more of it.

Does pulling the fuse do something different then just setting your exhaust to Track in the infotainment?

Read what SSDan stated. In track mode, (with the fuse in place) the valves will still close when just cruising. Pulling the fuse means the valves will never close no matter what driving mode you are in. WOT will sound no different with the fuse in or out but after pulling the fuse, you will be able to hear more of the exhaust even at light throttle because the valves stay open all the time.

This begs the question though, do you, or anyone else for that matter know the parameters of when the valves open in track? Like at what rpm and/or throttle input do they open? Trying to decide if it's worth it since WOT sounds the same anyway.

I do not know the exact parameters. For me as I row through the gears and shift at 3K or higher the exhaust sounds like the flaps are open. It’s not until I shift into 5th or 6th and start cruising that it quiets down.
