Line Lock/Emergency Brake

So last night I went to the local track, I got about 12 runs in. Half of those I used the line lock feature and about 7 seconds into doing a burnout, I go to cancel and roll out of the burnout and the emergency brake engages. Has anyone else had this problem before?

Yep. It would seem to happen if I messed up the "release" before the timer ran out. For some reason pressing both buttons on the wheel has only worked for me once out of about five times. The one time it worked and I rolled out of the burn out, the brake e-brake didn't end up engaged.

I just assumed it was a safety mechanism to keep the car from turning in to a Mustang and mowing down a crowd.

It has to do with touching the break when in line lock. If you let the timer run out it will automatically let you do a roll out not put the breaks on.

This happened to me today as well. I have never had it happen in past track visits. Has anyone identifies the cause?

Yep, normally boils down to user error. Make sure not to touch the brakes and push both buttons to release the line lock.
