Power Stop Z26

I just installed the Power Stop Z26 pads and Brake Performance rotors, it's like night and day how much smoother and better braking is.

they are great for being low dust but the performance is not better on the street or auto x and dont dare think about using them on the track

From my experience the stopping power of the z26 pads are not quite as good as the Brembo pads and not really smooth at all. After 1000 miles or so my front rotors developed terrible pad deposits to the point I was getting a lot of feedback in the steering wheel, so eventually I switched back to stock pads up front.

I had the Z26's on my 17 1SS, I never did change out the rotors just the pads and never had an issue, they braked better in the rain and of course did the brake in procedure.

I agree with most of the others. Definitely low dust, but definitely not an upgrade.

Upgrade is some ways, dust, downgrade in braking perf. Stand on the Z26 and you'll know the difference from the Brembo OE pad (obvious). 10x less dusting though is worth it to me. Better in the rain, won't lock solid to your rotors if you even just spit close to them.

I've has Z26 on my car for 25k miles now, never once had the pad lock to the rotor when it got wet. I have driven my car in the rain plenty of times.

The only issue I had is uneven pad deposits on the rotors which as the other poster replied makes for some less than optimal braking at high speeds once the rotors come up to temps.

For street use they are fine, for anything more than that they are not.

Are there any pads that are good for low dust, and good performance for the track. I'm gonna track my car this summer. Hate the amount of dust stock pads give. Thanks.

Definitely don't stop as well as the OEM pads.

I put them on my 5th gen 1LE and just don't like them. They squeal too. I'm putting OEM Brembo pads back on this weekend.

I ran them on my 02 SS with GEN5 SS Brembos. I echo everyone else in that they are great for low dust, but they don't brake as well as the Brembo pads or really any other good semi-metallic pad. I hated Brembo pads on my Terminator and quickly replaced them, but I was rocking chrome wheels instead of black wheels which hide the dust pretty well.

I run the Power Stop Z36 pads on my L. They are fine on the street, but don't brake as well as the Motorcraft Super Duty pads I used to run, but those pads dusted as bad or worse than the Brembo pads.

OK, switching over to the OEM black rims, mine are silver.
