there’s a completely different interface on the 20 vs the 17? I’m not saying it can’t be done but it’s def a totally different system and my comments not relevant to a 3.0 hmi

I guess we can wrap this up now.
How I had the vertical line up listing before, who knows? Maybe something updated right after I got the car. Not a problem. I'm using the channel lineup that you get from the main XM screen by using the sideways up and down arrows. It gives you the channels in numerical order. Thanks again guys.

It must be a '20 thing, but it was there before. Oh well, no biggie.

My Camaro is a 2019 RS, it came with the 8 inch touchscreen Infotainment 3system. This system is supposed to be same or as close to as the 2020 new Chevrolet model's. But there is one difference, it seems that the 2020 are being run with something new called Sirius XM 360L. This new Sirius XM 360L is a better interface then the old one. But it was my understanding with this ( NEW) Infotainment 3system updates & upgrades where supposed to be its strength.

Sirius XM 360L
Here is a picture of the Sirius XM 360L channel guide. Now since my 2019 doesn't has this , is this a roll out update from Sirius XM? Or, are we just out of luck, because I was under the impression that this new infotainment 3 systems was supposed to be the greatest and best for getting updates and upgrades.

He has a 2020. 2019+ have the hmi 3.0 hardware that can run infotainment 3. older cars have the hmi 2.5.

Well, I guess that answer that question. But as I recall, when the new and and improved Infotainment 3 System came out on the 2019 model's they talked the big talk about how this system will be able to keep up with updates and upgrades unlike the old Infotainment 3system. I remember on the car forums how people kept saying you had to buy the New Car just to keep up with infotainment Technology because the Infotainment Technology could never be updated or upgraded. So much for the latest and greatest, so to keep on keeping up with the new trends on the Infotainment system you still have to go out and buy a brand new car.

I’m not sure that’s the case. Did you sync to the WiFi in your house and do the updates? If that doesn’t work the dealer should give you the latest if they don’t go over the air

Needless to say, as this is all software, literally everything would be possible, it's the work of corporate bean counters that results in these limitations, they think you will ditch your car and get another one just for the newer infotainment. Big mistake, and one of the legitimate points Musk worshipers make time and again about their Teslas getting new capabilities overnight. It's not even state of the art in software development, just business as usual, GM and others are eons behind.
