a replacement piston is $125 with rings, 7 sets of rings are ~$200, main studs $240, block $2030.

total under $3k gets the short block back together. I did order a better scale so I can compare exact weights of the drop ins vs stock pistons and rods.

my other options is a darton sleeve short block for about $10k. this would likely be good for 3-400 more hp or likely be a lot more durable at the lower hp level. I will have to decide here shortly.
