Oldbie that nobody knows

I had this issue shortly after reinstalling my throttle body after I had sent it out to get machine polished to a mirror shine. My car was sitting in the driveway for over a month without a throttle body and wasn't started up once in that entire span of time.
What fixed it for me was disconnecting and reconnecting the ECM harness, so try that. Leave it unplugged for 15 minutes or so and then plug it back in. |

Heck, I'm one of the fortune ones, 2010 and the a/c is on most of the year, FWIW, no CEL after Tri-Y installation ~2 years ago.

It was still doing it last night when I left work. The car had sat all day for over 8 hours but still said AC off due to high engine temps. So it's not over heating.
This morning the message came on for about half a second and then everything worked fine after that. Weird part of all of this is that I never head a CEL. I know my CEL works because of the intermittent P219A code I get sometimes. |

I'd get it checked out. Drove 160 mile round trip to Vegas the other day in 110+ heat; A/C on the whole time ...

I don't use my AC. Never even put the belt back on after the rebuild. So it doesn't work anyway. Just an annoying message. But I do need my temp gauge to work.
Again, I don't trust anyone here with my car. I'll figure it out one way or another. If I could align my car I'd only need to go to a machine shop to do any work. Everything I've done myself is great. MOST of what other have done went to shit. Odd but true. |

thermostat stuck open will cause temp to read cold as long as car is moving and it will overheat when sitting.

If it does it again I'll swap thermostats and then go to the sensors and test. |

Ok, did it again on the way home last night. I did check the digital readout. Here is the pic.
I guess it's the sensor or sending unit for the signal. I had been driving for 20 miles or so when I took this pic. |
