Car at the body shop now, fixing the OH crap moment (fender). One thing I did do with the ticking noise. Fixed the header gaskets, and changed the engine oil (water) well it looked like water. Ran history at dealer, the day at the DYNO and tune (Big 3 Racing) Ran this car to the point of overheating again and again and again. I'm down to the Whipple noises now, thats next.

Sucks to hear that man. But how do you dyno a car untill it overheats? Im asking because these cars seem pretty resistant to heating up even with the factory 194 dergree thermostat.

The shop was 90 some degrees, they had two little carpet drying fans under it,
with the hood closed. And did pull after pull with little cool down time. SO, it was a waste of time and money, and possible damage to my car, still might have to pull the engine down.

Brett, who dynos a car with the hood closed? Did you watch them do this? Why didn't you tell them to stop and open the hood? You have had some really bad luck with the supercharger, the install & every person that touches your car other than you. Hmmmmmmmm..........

Ya, tell me about it brother..lol. I said it was cursed. I was going to do an oil sample yesterday, But thought I don't need anymore bad news...LOL.
But I had enjoyable visit yesterday. The guy that I sold my 72 Olds Cutlass (43,000 miles) stopped. He finished it (couple small things left) Nice seeing him just enjoying it. (Had to adjust his carb)...lol

Been awhile on this thread. I've been playing with different pulleys with some interesting results. BS tune (the code thrower) was a 3.50 suppose to be 6 lbs
So I really have no idea what it is or was. I switch to a 3.125, No more codes, and I could start it without your eyes watering in the garage. But of coarse it was also a reinstalled (repaired) SC. Which sounded like the engine is coming apart. I borrowed a 3.250 from Joe (our forum SC buddy) This is were it gets funny, supposed to be 1 lbs difference. The exhaust noise is quieter just driving around (loud when you get on it) SC isn't as noise (I hope I'm not jumping the gun here) I should have logged RPM with the different pulleys (I might go back and do that) I'll run the crap out of it in the next couple days and finish the review.

Could the smaller pulley be less down force on the front bearings? I've been wondering about the tension of the belt...how do you know the diff between good or so fukn tight the downward force tears at the bearings? Just been thinking about this today.

Whipple specs the belt way too tight. I have played with the belt tension, and found right in the middle works the best. But I am confused with the noise (gear lash) one more pulley change (3.375) and I bet its gone. Except for the bag of marbles. And I don't understand why!! Slowing the screw down, less noise??
At all RPM also???? What am I missing?? You can't boost a Whipple more then 7-8 lbs unless you can live with the noise?????? When I worked, I always got the SOB jobs. Well, somethings never change.

LOL on the pulley. My 3.375 pulley will be here today. Then back for PRO tune. I found a guy out here that knows his stuff (unlike the last guy) Larger pulley I go, I have less engine noise, but throw codes and backfire blasts on restart (great tune..LOL)
Seems the slower RPM on the Whipple the less noise??? I have asked them, I don't think they know. Nick Casper reinstalled his foam and stated covered the noise, might do that.

I have the 3.25 pulley and it was near dead quiet with the foam.
