Hello, I am considering getting a 2019 2SS A10. I really like the Recaro seats but they are very hard to find with A10 (usually come as part of 1LE package which is not available for A10 yet); are regular non-Recaro seats suitable for tracking? I’m about 5’11” 150lbs. Just want to make sure I won’t be tossed around.

You could always go ZL1 1LE with the A10 now a have the everything you want.

Why not just order the car with the spec you want? You can order the recaros without doing the 1LE package.....or just order the seats themselves after buying the car. Instal isn't crazy hard, there are videos.

May I ask if yours has Recaros? My guess is not because it’s not 1LE. Are you happy with it?

The cloth seats in mine are pretty supportive IMO. Probably depends on body type too.

I didn't plan to seriously track the car and it's my daily so I didn't order the recaros. They can definitely be ordered as an option without adding the 1LE package. My stock 2SS seats are nice and bolstered enough for a few hot laps and a few passes down the strip for the very few events I might do with the car while I have it.

I have done about 5 track days without the Recaros. It can be done but I did install the 1LE locking seat belts which helped a lot. I have recently found a used set of Zl1 recaros and installed them. While I have not tracked with them yet, I can already tell they will hold me in place much better. I am about the same weight as you but a couple of inches shorter. If I had it to do again I would order the car with the recaros. I find them more comfortable for daily driving as well.

If you order the car, you could order recaros and the Big brake Kit and have a very capable track car. You can also get the 1LE springs and swaybars as a dealer addon if you order magnaride on your car.

If you want the wider tires from the Zl1 or 1LE, the classifieds here have factory wheels or wheels and tires for sale a lot as folks put after market wheels on. I picked up a ZL1 set with 700 miles on them.

I think the regular seats would do just fine on the track.

Spend the extra time to find an A10 with Recaros, or custom order the car. I ordered mine without the 1LE but with Recaros and the A10. The Recaros are one of my favorite differences between my old 2016 2SS and my 2019 2SS.

Ordering is a one of a kind experince, a little difficult during the process but well worth it to have the exact car you want.

Agreed, would i rather have the Recaros? Hell yes, but they hardly seem worth the price tag even used.

Agreed, I love the Recaro even though lumbar support is not adjustable but I hate to order one and wait around. I’ll try to find A10 with Recaro. I’ll probably have to go out of state.
