I'm not surprised. All of our Chevrolet cars have been very reliable over the last 35 years.

Not the least bit surprised with Fiat Chrysler Dodge. We bought a fleet of Dodge trucks this year. Something like 50 trucks. Eco diesel and v6s. Total facking garbage cans. Seriously just junk.

JD power is the same BS company everyone makes fun of from the horrible Chevy ads. It is not a reliable source. Take anything they say with a grain of salt.

I see a LOT of newer Dodge RAM trucks these days. Very pretty, but I wonder how they'll hold up compared to the Chevy Silverado.

After looking at that chart, my only question is: What the hell did GMC do to get such a significantly lower score than Chevy? Maybe their commercial line sucks so badly it dragged down the score. Or they made poor decisions with their Chevy clones.

I would like to know what metrics they used to measure to get to this chart.

Am I reading this right. Problems per 100 vehicles, and the best had 106 problems per 100 vehicles?

Yeah cause they are priced VERY attractively and look awesome. Close friend of mine is a Chev guy but works at the Ford plant. He bought a brand new 2010 F150 crew 4X4. In 2015 he bought a new 26 foot trailer and decided to sell the F150 to purchase a new Ram crew 4x4 with the 395hp Hemi.
Last time I went north with him I asked about what he thought about the new Dodge he got.
I was really surprised with his response.
The Ford is literally 10 times the truck as the Dodge even being a 2010 model. Another friend of ours bought the Ford. It’s been great for him aside from exhaust manifolds.
Lots of other guys I work with have nice newer Dodge trucks. I’m a mechanic. These guys who don’t wanna admit they bought the junk try to defend it. Then they usually are back in for warranty work in short time.
The guys who own the Dodges and aren’t afraid to voice their opinion tell us mechanics they aren’t buying another Dodge truck.
This isn’t a couple guys. I bet we work with at least 30 guys that have 2014 and newer Dodges. I bet it’s closer to 50 to be honest. A couple guys swear by them, the rest of the guys.....very disappointed to say the least.

Biggest complaint, body’s rotting really really fast. Don’t remove those flares as there is likely a fist size hole behind it. Literally!!!

Holding up to Silverado I’m not sure. The Silverado bodies for the few guys I work with are good. The power trains are for the most part good but some transmission issues. No transmission issues for the guys I work with that have them but I’m aware there are some issues with that 8 speed. Engines are super solid. Some of the coworkers with the Hemis have had cam failures. Bearings in rearends being done under warranty. There are about 5-10 that swear the body doesn’t sit right on the frame. Sounds weird but it’s the same complaint with these guys and Chrysler can’t find anything wrong.
