I'd love to see the finished product. Would look great.

Thank you for all your input. Based on the feedback, we were able to create a vent insert that will allow the guys who want to keep the look a bit more subtle and more street oriented can insert this vent cover and block off the holes but still keep the 1" flare, and if for any reason they want to track the car you can simply remove the vent insert and allow the fender to open up and help release any built up pressure from inside the wheel well.

We based the insert look on the C7 ZR1 fender insert...

Keep the input rolling in! We appreciate everyone's help

The insert is an improvement for sure. The better it flows with the original body lines, the better it will be accepted. For me, the ideal would be if people had to ask if it was modified. I want it to look completely stock if possible - in a way that makes people look twice to figure out what is different, vs. look twice because it is painfully obvious it is different.

Do you have estimates on weight savings? I am guessing this comes later in the design process, but a good ball park would be appreciate to know if I need to be saving my pennies or not

Thanks for including us!

It’s been mentioned before but, I feel like there’s a lot or real estate on the fender that consistently gets overlooked by vendors. I’m not entirely sure as to why, honestly. Is there something behind the fender up top? Perhaps the tooling or molds are too difficult to make that way? I’m not entirely sure. But if possible, please consider using some of the real estate to the top, top-rear corner of the fender. As mentioned earlier, Porsche did a good job utilizing this space on their GT3 RS. Granted, the lines of that fender and vent don’t work with our cars but, it should suffice for guidance and inspiration, especially since we are still in the conceptual phase.

As those openings have a purpose namely directing the air turbulences from the wheels they should be not too big. I would opting with a kind of shark gills look

Thumbs up

Hey everyone, here are a couple of renders to help illustrate the width comparison. The wider option is the blue/purple model

Wide body, no vent. Want it to look as stock as possible.

Love the new render.

Vents would just make it look like a tacky add on.
Leave it alone, No Vents so it looks stock....with big fat wide wheels up front
