I know that you and most of the enthusiast/fanboys like the thick, bulked up look which I personally don't, but that's the way it is. This car is not intended for you or the enthusiasts, it's intended to be for the other 98% of the marketplace that isn't buying the Camaro that you guys like.

I opened up the cabin and lowered the front for improved visibility which the 98% prefer. I focused on something more sleek and conservative as a pony car, rather than a thick, bulky monster track car. Is this something that a parent would consider buying for their high school teen? Or maybe a college student? This car wouldn't even have a V8 as an option; it has a 6 or a 4 in it. Think affordability.

It really isn't meant to be the new Camaro for the high performance enthusiast crowd, it's meant for the entry-level, blue-collar worker, everybody else crowd. It's meant to be stylish, but at the same time affordable; both for vehicle cost and insurance. Think of it in those terms.

Well there you go. If Chevy can produce a pony car that appeals to that 98%, that's a LOT of potential sales. That kind of revenue can provide the budget to keep developing the high performance track cars that the 2% like and buy. It would be a win/win situation.

Revision 3. While working on "softening up" a lot of the lines, I wound up revising the front to give it a more aggressive look. It's still somewhat conservative because it's aimed at the 98% who are not forum enthusiasts. It's intended to loosely evoke the idea of a modern version of the 1970 Camaro.

I'm still working on what I want to do with the back of the car. Haven't come up with anything I really like yet.

I think it is a good start.

BTW do you still have the Blue Angel? One of my favorite 5th gens. It is still very cool.

keep the Chevron in the grill!!

But man that gold center Chevron is ugly on all Camaros. The color should chabge with the interior lighting color.

Thank you, and yes I do. Unfortunately I now live in a state where there aren't any road course tracks so I hardly ever drive it anymore. I think I put a total of 200 miles on it last year. I've thought about selling it, but I put so much into it that it would be hard to let it go.

Here are a couple of pics of what I've been thinking of for the back of the car; again, it's meant to be more conservative than what the track car fan enthusiasts in here would want. I agree about the gold bowtie logo; to me it looks cheap. I always liked the old blue logo myself, so I made the change on this model.

More revisions. Reworked the body side and upper part of the car so it looks less like a sedan. Since the front is loosely inspired by the 1970 Camaro, I decided to curve the back of the car around on the sides more like the that car too, except I stayed with the horizontal lights instead of the round ones the '70 version had. Oh and I switched to the old blue logo; looks much better than the gold one in my opinion.

Taller headlights, wider tires, make panels over rear tires less chunky, wrap it tighter.

Now put in all the Federal safety requirements and Laws concerning structure and this car will never look like that.

Yeah I'm not seeing anything in this design ,especially in the year 2021 . I want to see more Ferrari and less 1980s . I will say you came up with a better design then the 3rd gen Camaro . The next Camaro has to look new and up to date , there are many subtle hints they can pull from other years to keep it a Camaro without copying like the 5th gen.

Made the headlights bigger (taller), widened the tires, doubled the number of lines in the wheel arches to smooth them out. Not sure what you mean by "wrap it tighter". Are you talking about the wheels or wheel arches?

I would love to go more Ferrari-esque but in the past when I did that, people complained "It doesn't look like a muscle car, it looks like a Ferrari" like that was a bad thing.

Here's the front with the bigger headlights.
