Upgrading Exhaust

Hey y'all,
I just recently bought a '17 1SS that has two exhaust tips coming out the back, which I assume is a regular exhaust? ... Idk. If it is though, will I be able to switch it out for dual exhaust? I'm sure there may be a different thread for this, but I appreciate your input.

Thanks

you have non npp ...if you want a npp exhaust it would bea lot of work or you can just buy a exhaust with 4 tips instead of 2 but you would need a new diffuser also or modify your oem one

Look into the non NPP single dual tip exhaust from AWE. RDPstore.com and DynoSteve can help you out.

I have the dual tip exhaust and went with the AWE and love it, no drone and sounds good, I was looking into the AWE quad tip exhaust but you will have to factor in getting a new diffuser so I will stick with what I have.

You can switch it to a quad tip set up if you really wanted to but you would have to change over something on the car to make it work including the diffuser. If your just wanting to upgrade the sound I would suggest looking at brands like Borla or Corsa. Both are solid system that have great sound and at great prices. Let us know if you have any questions!

The AWE Touring axel back cost me under $700 shipped from RDPstore.com and you can’t get the Borla or other systems for that price. Great sound, no drone you can’t beat that!

ok, I don't need to go as far as switching to dual exhaust... that's my bad. I've never messed with an exhaust system on a car before so I wasn't really sure how to phrase that. So I am just looking to upgrade the sound of my single tip exhaust and appreciate any info y'all may be able to give me on that :-)

I installed the Magnaflow 19339 axle-back system on my 1SS. I absolutely love the tone I got from these. They are a little louder than what I wanted but the sound is so good I can live with it. Highly recommended.

I’ve got this as well. Really great sounding midrange... not that I needed an excuse to step on the gas...

I recommend AWE in your situation.

I think it's great how AWE had rightfully gained a following here while other more Borling systems have fell out of favor due to many reasons.

Price being one, certainly. Exhaust is a lot like oil, a lot like 🍻, a lot like women.

$520 and $1317 can be a turnoff...delivered...
