Totalled or not?

First accident. Any thoughts if it is totalled?

2017 Camaro RS 2.0T 25,000 miles

Thanks for any advice! Sorry about the pic rotation too!

If the chassis is still straight it’s not totaled. What about the engine?

I’m in no way an expert, but does not look totaled at all going simply off the provided pics. If there is minor damage to the frame, that can be straightened by a decent body shop. I’m not sure I’d want to hold on to it after that though. Just my 2 cents.

Assuming auction for an average condition '17 2.0 RS is ~$17k it's close.

why not.
You just need an entire new front.
- Fender
- Hood
- Front bumper
- Water cooler
- Lamps

I love these threads!
Unless you are a body shop who evaluates these and an insurance adjuster, how would you know anything?

Front bumper is cracked near tow hook. Not looking good!

OP, look up diminished value. If your insurance wants to fix get a trade-in quote from your local dealer on how much less you'd get because of previous structural damage. This will encourage them to just total it rather than deal with a diminished value claim.

Get the hood open, and look for any creases or buckling with any part of the frame.
Might have to get it on a lift and look underneath to make it easier.
Anything more than extremely minor, it's likely totalled.
Could it be driven after the crunch?

It was able to be driven off of the tow truck. Didn’t have time to get the hood open as i was on my way to work. I ended up meeting a Honda SUV at a 4 way stop and it spun them around and bent their back wheel.
