Any experience with comp 2 a/s tires?

Has anyone tried these all season tires out? I run r888r's on the summer (they're amazing by the way) and I'm considering getting these bf goodrich tires for winter time. Are they going to absolutely suck compared to the triple eights?

I was researching these tires and the one thing i find in common with everyone is that they all state the tires are the most aggressive out of all the ultra high performance all season tires. Great steering feel, yada yada yada. The biggest downside is, they all state these tires get very loud after 5k miles. Extra $130 for DWS06 or 180+ for AS/3+ would improve on the noise but slight sacrifice on handling (according to the numerous reviews i've read)

I run these, on my 15 Mustang GT/PP and loved them enough to put them on the 1LE now. Fantastic tire the only consideration I would ask is what you're expected snow amounts might be. But for cold/dry/wet, these are fantastic tires. Ive driven them in light dusting of snow, <1", otherwise I just stay home and wait it out a few hours for a plow to come through, streets are clear in my area in 1/2 day most times. I really only have to contend with cold/dry/wet and 1-3 minor snow event's per year.

You're going to have a night/day difference in any A/S from the r888r....the Comp2 A/S will not absolutely suck but that's totally subjective.

Road noise? Is it as bad as everyone is making it to be? As for the snow amounts. Your saying 3" of snow would be bad for this tire or its still ok to tackle on through?

I had no issues with road noise. Had mine for 2 years and about 9,000 miles.
I think all tires get a little louder when they wear. Aggressive driving and improper inflation will wear the tires abnormally resulting in excessive noise.

Loved these tires. Far better than the stock Goodyear R/F's.

I put a set on my son's Mazda6 a couple of years ago and returned them the next day. It sounded like it had 4 bad wheel bearings. They also look like some kind of off road tire JMHO. After all the love I see here, I must have gotten a bad set. I'd recommend the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3.

I’d look at the General GMax AS-05 or the Michelin Pilot Sport A/s 3+.

Based on their scores on Tire Rack. General just edged out the BFG slightly and the Michelin’s are probably the best AS tire albeit pricey.

Ive never heard it.

If you need to contend with 3" of snow any A/S is probably the wrong choice, for this car, but thats more of a "me" factor, I just choose to not even try it.

Yeah I understand, it will only be in a pinch if I had to. Apparently couple weeks ago we were suppose to get a dusting. We ended up with 3+ inches on the ground. Weather report still kept saying it wasnt going to be 1+ as it was going on. Just in case if i was in a pinch again would rather have something then nothing.

I have run them on the 2017 1SS one full Winter and just put them back on again in October. I haven't found any noise issues. I don't use them in snow, but use them as my temps drop below the recommended operating temps for my summer tires.

I run them well into June and they seem to work fine in the wet too.

I'm a fan.

As an update, these things are awesome for all season tires. It put 605 down on the dyno and they hold 3rd flawlessly at 40 degrees.
