The Demon is a 1/4 mile track star that maybe only Ford will have an answer for with the GT 500 Chevy has nothing that will be able to compete in the near future, from what I have seen they run low 10's bone stock and with some minor mods run mid 9's. Dodge Drag Pack is also kicking the crap out of the COPO and CobraJet on the track as well.

with the 1320 we will see how capable this package is next spring.

The Camaro is more a one trick pony than the Challenger it is good at one thing it is the best of the three at a road track, and the sales support that claim. The Dodge is the best all round car for the the person that wants a DD.

Other than their success this year, I wouldn't say the Drag Pack has been kicking the crap out of anything.

And here is the first 7 sec pass by Pritchett to show Dodge's success in 2018:

Guess you haven’t looked into the zr1. I’ve seen 10.1 stock on street tires.high 9s on a tire. If one so chose a better platform than a demon for dragging as it is much lighter

The drag pack vs copo vs cj is always going back and forth. And it is race team vs race team and heavily reliant on chassis setup etc. last race I seen they were all within a tenth of each other.

Not really sure what a demon or race teams have to do with a scat pack or SS? A demon and copo cars etc don’t concern 95% of the buying public either

I already know how the 1320 will perform. It added no power. Dropped a touch of weight and added a trans brake. It will be a couple tenths faster at the track with a tire and that’s it. It’s not going to go from mid to low 11s bolt on to mid tens. Not even close. The SS will continue to be much faster at the strip in every iteration besides stock

You're wrong on this one. GM made the ZL1 to be a triple threat and it accomplished that amazingly well. Stock for stock it bested the Hellcat and Shelby in a straight line. On a track it destroyed the GT350R. It does well as a DD. And it is cheaper than both of those other two cars, neither of which were able to beat the ZL1 at anything. The only thing the HC has on it is that it is roomier. The only thing the Shelby has on it is that 2 of MT's sound guys think it looks and sounds better. Other than that there is no arena that the HC or GT350R can beat the ZL1 in except maybe top speed (HC) and after a mile (HC again).

I'm glad to see Demons doing good. I've been saying for a while that they need to get into the hands of more people who know how to race them.

Ok now I agree with you for 95% of what you stated here! However from a roll race ( auto or manual) stock Zl1 vs hc the hc will definitely destroy the Zl1 (stock 40-60 rolls to whatever). Most stock lt4 powered cars fall on thier faces after 125-130.

I'm not in the market for a new car but if I was it would be the 1320 or the Scat Pak, maybe the Mustang but not likely. I have good friend that keeps giving me his employee number and I get to good of a deal on Dodge LOL. last 3 have been to good to pass on.

Neck and neck race every time I’ve seen it

In fact roll testing has been done with known stock cars by Hennessy. Neck and neck drivers race from a roll

Congrats on your 12.01 @ 114 mph. Nice run!

How many different Challenger models can Dodge offer? It's getting a little crazy but I won't complain as I say more power to them if they can offer excitement to their customer base before an eventual redesign (it's gotta happen soon, right?). Anyway, I think the Challengers look great from the front and side, and from a rear 45 degree view, and I like the taillight design. Unfortunately, IMO, they look like a fatty when viewed straight on from the back. Just, thick and fat.

Regarding the '18 GT A10, it is fast. As I stated in the other 2018 Mustang thread...at least 4 different publications/magazines have run 12.1 sec or better, with Hotrod.com at 11.83 @ 119.5 mph, and another at 11.98, with traps speeds ranging from 118 to 120 mph (C&D trapped 120 mph!). Car and Driver ran 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, and MT did it in 3.9 seconds. Those acceleration numbers, combined with the 2018 refreshed looks and styling (I love the PP1 19" GT black wheels), not to mention better visibility and 50% larger trunk than the Camaro (hey, I have a family and use my trunk!), MagneDrive, the new A10, and updated Coyote 5.0 (which sounds amazing) convinced this life long Camaro/GM guy to switch to the dark side just a few weeks ago. I can't get over how good my '18 GT Premium A10 w/ PP1 and MagneDrive looks in my garage and the joy it brings me driving it. My dad's 5th Gen SS looks good, but not this good!
