8 second Mustang coming to a very select few 68 people. Curious to see this thing in action!

When they make 1 with a VIN, on that day I will get excited.

So this might be the first Mustang that's actually faster than a Camaro in the quarter stock. Too bad it costs $130k. If it does the advertised time, it would be impressive although I'd rather have the slower ZR1 for that price. No mustang is worth that unless the interior is literally made out of gold.

It should have a VIN# like every other single one they make. Just only making in a limited quantity. Super exotics that aren't street legal still have VIN#'s

Not if it is a factory racer like the Cobra Jets.

This actually IS the CJ Mustang. It will not have a VIN as it will not be street legal and probably not even street-able. For one it has a roll cage. It will also probably not have emissions equipment and other stuff a DMV and DOT approved vehicle would have. The COPO is the same. For $130K I'd rather have a ZR1

Same as the COPO Camaro's, only 69 built each year, no vins and cannot be registered. Trailered race cars only

Technically they CAN be registered but you'd have to go thru an entire process that is lengthy and expensive. And it would have to be inspected thoroughly. One guy did it and his is legal for driving on the street. And I think a second guy did it too. But as it is straight from the factory they cannot be be registered or insured for street use.

Or take off the chute, put mufflers on it , DOT rear tires, and borrow a dealer plate

Cats are not required in every state. But I'm not sure on the exact details. I just know that there was an article about it. I think the guy is on here.

I could be wrong, but I believe catalytic converters are required in all 50 states.

But not all states have emissions testing
