Any electrical engineers out there?

I was thinking about a way to limit the throttle on my car in case i have to have it valet parked or something like that. surely there would be an easy way to do this since its just an electron voltage signal between the pedal and the throttle body right? maybe make use of a potentiometer?

On all TBW cars, there's a redundant angle sensor that has an inverted signal. You'd need to limit the signal of one while simultaneously ensuring the other never drops below the corresponding angle voltage.

Practically speaking, IMO you're best either putting a physical stopper in the pedal, or just parking the car yourself. Or, set the mode manually so the engine is in snow mode, that way it stays there when they key back on.

Get a dash cam and tell whoever may drive it that you record every minute and will sue them if they abuse your car.

Absolutely never valet a car that you wouldn't let your 18 year old neighbors kid drive unattended.

I might have said 16, but your axiom is truth, sir.

I wouldn't let a valet drive my car when I had a Mazda 3, I sure as hell wouldn't let one touch the Camaro.

Teen Driver mode! Available in Settings. Program a key for Teen Driver mode and use that for valet parking. It is available on my 2SS.

Valet mode just locks the radio. Does nothing to the engine performance.
