Radar detector on the dash

I just got a 9500ix. trying to decide where to put it. I have read alot of different posts about mounts like the blend mount and visor mount. But has anyone used it just sitting on the dash using something like one of those sticky cell phone pads?

Is this too low? I just want something I can easily hide away. a mount just tells a thief or LEO you have a detector but took it down.

Sitting on the dash is too low. It needs to have a clear view of the front. I have valentine mounted right in the middle of my windshield.

Is there a radar detector that's integrated into the car. I seen this YouTube video about some guy in a white camaro saying he had his hooked up to the sensors on the back bumper. Is there any sensors on the front? Anyone heard of this?

I have the same detector and a different mount in 4 cars. The southern mount is the best with the smart chord. Hardly visible at all from the outside

I use to have this one but got tired of it keeping my sun visor from going all the way down. I recently changed to this one I got off ebay, have it mounted just over my rear view mirror and it can't be seen from outside the car with my tinted windshield strip.
