Turn on accessory before starting - hold the start button without the clutch or brake. Switch to slippery/snow. Then put foot on brake/clutch. Hit start button

Or before turning off the car, go into exhaust setting on menu and select stealth mode

Or buy hptuners and tune it. I set mine so tour starts in stealth mode.

Is there a possibility to close the valves right from the beginning?
1. Hold down start button for 5 seconds with foot OFF the break pedal. Car will be in "key-on" mode.
2. Change Engine Sound Management to STEALTH. You will hear NPP valves close.
3. Put foot on brake pedal, and start the car with the start button normally. Car will start quiet.

The exhaust is louder on cold starts and it has nothing to do with NPP valves. It has everything to do with cold start fueling and is temporary
^^^This.
Engineers have been doing this for years. For emissions, they want to get the cats heated up as quick as possible, so the fuel map is very different when the engine is stone cold. I can hear it plain as day in my ‘04 F-150 with muffler delete.
