There is also a cool embedded pattern on the passenger dash. This is probably the easiest way to tell for certain. Most dealers and private sellers wouldn’t go to the length of ordering and installing a replacement on a non-Fifty.

The only question is did you pay more for the car. If you paid more for the car because you believed it had the package then that would be a problem.

However, it seems like you didn’t even know the difference until after you bought the car. If you were actually shopping for a car with the optional package I would have thought you would have known what you were looking for.

Enjoy your car. It sounds like it was everything you thought it was when you bought it.

Yes, a dealer increasing the cost based on options it didn't have would have been false advertising and/or bait and switch and could lead to some sort of 'partial refund'... IF the buyer could demonstrate that the seller somehow caused "harm" to him.

The fact that it was sold as CPO and that carries a decent markup by itself might make it really hard to prove that there was some sort of defrauding taking place. In the end, car salespeople are generally idiots when it comes to the details and buyer beware!

I agree - enjoy the car as much now as before going down this path.

All 2017 Camaros have the steering will placard. 2.0T to 6.2L V8. 1LS to ZL1. They all have it.

The H50 package was only added to 2LT and 2SS trim models. I would imagine that if the dealer said the car had the Fifty package (H50) and the vehicle was a 1LS or 1SS, then there is a lot of additional content that the buyer didn’t get. On the other hand, if the buyer was looking for a Fifty package or 2LT or 2SS it is on the buyer to understand what’s included.

...did I get swindled? Did someone R2 the steering wheel with a Fifty's, or just slap a Fifty decal on it? Is there a way I can 100% verify that my SS is a 50? Maybe using the VIN? Would I have to contact Chevy? I'm stay-up-all-night-and-research curious about this now...
Pictures help.

Do the math....

50th Commemorative Camaro+(2017-1967)=FIFTY+(50th Anniversary Camaro)>50th Commemorative Camaro.

The wording is everything here... First off ALL 2017 Camaros are 50th anniversary year cars, that is why GM put the emblem on the steering wheel on all the Camaros in 2017 was to show they are celebrating the milestone.

However, then you have the 50th-Anniversary Edition option that is the paint, decals, and rims.

I have a 2017 and it of course has the plate on the steering wheel that says Fifty. I think I am going to change it out for a regular SS plate.
