Crazy Used Car Prices
As most of you know, when it comes to ZL1 and C7 Corvettes used prices are exceptionally high. So I wanted to see if that translated to high trade in values. I submitted the information on my 19 ZL1 to Vroom. New, the sticker was 67.5 and I paid 64 for it in January 2019. I was shocked to say the least. I was going to trade it in next January, but with prices like this, how can I say no. I am going to take it the CarMax in a couple of days and see what there offer is going to be.
I am retired and don't need the car, so I can wait until the world returns to normal to replace it. |

My advice is if you really like your ZL1 and enjoy driving it then you may have regrets after selling it! After all, the ZL1s and ZLEs are probably the last of the true Chevy sports cars that will be built so I’m thinking it would be good to hold on to and enjoy it unless of course you need the money when you sell it. I’m definitely not planning on getting rid of my Silver Bullet for any amount of money offered.

It’s funny you think it’s ever going to be “normal” again. Well, not really, but you get the drift.

All used car prices are high right now, not just the ZL1 and C7.

I just recieved my offer, out of curiosity, and it's 55k. 20k less than what I paid out the door 2 1/2 years ago. No deals around at the time I bought mine. But this is on par with the KBB trade in estimate.
2018 Hyperblue A10 with PDR, exposed carbon fiber and sunroof with 25k miles (actually 24.5k but rounded up). Doesn't seem crazy to me. Less crazy than people paying over $85k for a, new,, Shock color convertible ZL1..... |

I priced up my Stang via Vroom a couple weeks ago. They gave me a very high price, but I didn’t take the offer. I just requested another price and it’s 2k more than the 2 weeks ago. Crazy stuff....

What I feel is crazy on prices are trucks. My 2019 Silverado that is 1 1/2 years old with 18k miles is worth MORE than what I paid, quite a bit more. I've contemplating time and time again to sell it.

Just like the stock market and the endless money printing, it's all a bubble - and when it pops we won't be able to print our way out of it anymore. Some say the current inflation is temporary - I doubt it

Got mine 6 weeks ago, it was a mission. Getting a ZLE in California is insane because of the ban. I went to see a new A10 and they had 5k markup to 82K, slightly out of my price range so kept looking. Lots of >1000 mile 2021s going for 74-77. Found a great deal on a 2021 manual ZLE in arizona for 72, it was perfect but after I gave them a deposit to hold the car til i flew out the next day the manager called me back saying they can't sell the car to a CA resident. I was so bummed i stopped looking for a week. I go to cargurus and see a 2018 ZLE with only 5000 miles for 65 I called immediately and put a deposit down. Maybe overpaid a little but I secured my dream car

If I were to sell anything high-value & turn it into a commodities investment, that’s where my money would go. Bitcoin... yeah, it’s intrinsic value has yet to be totally determined. |

This is the beginning of the end. Digital yuan expected to be official February 2022. It's been incredibly painful listening to a sea of cringe worthy morons calling for bitcoin to hit $1M (or whatever). https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bitco...145942054.html |
