So a front fascia extension is a non-functional lip/splitter (most would then fall under this category). Do we need that kind of differentiation? just call it a lip or splitter.

Everytime i see this thread i keep thinking it's a cosmetic mod that puts the 2nd gen camaro front fascia on the 6th gen somehow. And everytime I am disappointed that it's just another lip to get scratched on speed bumps and crappy banked road driveways.

ok. rant over.

Is the 2019, 2nd gen, GM fascia extension/splitter functional or is it open on the bottom like ACS and C7 Carbon ones?

Can someone post a pic of the underside of the 2nd gen GM splitter?

The one on the 2017-18 SS 1LE is a closed bottom functional splitter, is the 2019 version the same?

Did a gloss black one ever get released? Or am I going to have to order one and have it painted or wrapped? I really hope not.

Did anyone get a copy of this you could share?

“Instructions for installation of this part are available throughout GM Service information (S.I.) within the "Accessories Manual" section”

I just got my splitter from the dealer today and noticed I need this also. It says to ask the dealer for the instructions so i'll probably go back and ask them for them.

Doesn't it just bolt on to the bottom using the existing bolts?

Yep it bolts right up, there should be 8 or 9 bolts plus 4 or 5 rivets in the box, just remove the corresponding bolts on the under side of the front bumper, line it up, stick it on with the tape and put the new bolts in (they have a bigger washer to support the splitter).

Ok thanks. I am tired of waiting on a gloss black one so I think I am going to order the Mosaic black one order a Mosaic black spoiler so it matches.
