Is it still a thing. 15 years ago when I had my last Camaro, it was all the rage.

Outside of ceramic coating or ppf, what is the way to go.

Cheap easy spray that works way better than it should: Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax. $10 blue bottle

Durable hydrophobic coatings: Gtechniq EXO. Lasts for years and works better than most, and can easily DIY. $80ish.

Adams products are very easy to use and do pretty good. Very popular on this forum and lot of videos on how to use their products.

Man zaino is so old.
So many better things out there

DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss, Griots Ceramic Speed shine, Owners Pride Ceramic or Ceramic+, Turtle wax seal n shine. Just about anything out there is better than Zaino.

EXO is a good coating but its not years. Its an 18-24 month max protection.
DIY Detail makes some really good quality coatings if you want to use one. I put the 3year one on my camaro. They have a 5 and 8 year as well

Always wondered why Zaino didn't keep up with the changing technology. The dude was a force of personality, we would have all bought anything he came out with.

I'm a big fan of the Gtechniq products, a detailer friend of mine recommended.

Not sure about Zaino but Liquid glass used to be the absolute best IMO. That's the original version I'm talking about. MPT Industries now claims to have the original back in production but I'm not sure about that. The bottle with the old Corvette is the original. After applying that to my old pewter 4th gen, It was a serious struggle to get the car cover on it. Smooth as hell!

Still using it since 2000 when I had an SS. I use the clear coat polish for most of the work, but for a water spot or bird dropping stains, I will use the polish for scratched vehicles. It works as a swirl remover too.

Cannot say enough about the detailing spray.

Love using it in the sun. I apply the polish with a little detail spray to spread it as thin as possible and then start taking it off as soon as I am finished applying it.

The best thing I ever learned about using Zaino was their recommendation to use 100% American made cotton towels.

Been using Zaino for over 15 years. Only for paint protection/maintenance though. I have switched to Adams for everything else. Use the Z-6 and Z-8 detail sprays for daily cleaning. Z-2 once a year for extra protection. I do use Zaino white borderless towels for Z-2 removal but switched to Adams micro fiber towels for everything else. I realize there may be better products now but i am familiar with Zaino and have been happy with results.


I dont think they have updated a good part of their website for years as on part of their website they mention of testing micro fiber towels and that the jury was still out on them. Their reco on only using 100% cotton towels made in USA was based on the fact that many foreign made towels that claimed 100% cotton in fact didnt and was probably added to the website years ago and never updated.

good you should, doing it wrong for 23years doesnt make it correct now. Do you also use cloth diapers as well on the paint?

I went with the adams grapheme advanced. Prob wait til the storage period to work on it.
Got the cs3 and boost sprays too

Hope you dont have a sensitive nose. I had to put on a respirator within 30sec of using that stuff as it started giving me a bad headache. It is probably the worst smelling and toxic smelling product I have ever used in my lifetime.
