Customizing the boring dash?

Has anyone else grown tired of the expansive barren areas on their dash. I added a Camaro emblem to mine and my son's and really think it made the dash look better. Here is what I did to mine. I would love to see others.

Note: This is where some people will start to say things about creating a hazard when the airbag burst through the dash. To those people, please familiarize yourself with the actual workings of the airbags before saying that. They do not come out of the front console.

I saw your post on Facebook, looks nice!

Is that the OEM CF dash cover or the double sided tape one?

It’s the solid CF OEM dash.

Another view, the dash definitely needs something... I feel like this looks fairly "stock"...

I like the SS badge.

Here's mine as it came from the manufacturer:

I like the look of that SS badge. Simple, but adds a nice touch.

Where are you guys getting the badge? Aftermarket or dealer item?

My only objection to the SS badge is that the front seats already have one each, at least in the non-1LE, so it's a bit too much of the SS-ery for me. I like the Callaway badging a few posts above, it's a very professional design, but of course only suits Callaway cars.

I have the carbon fiber dash pad and that in itself breaks up the sea of black pleather a bit.

@arpad_m, if ya got an SS, flaunt it a bit, here is another view...

The SS badge on my dash is the very same SS badge on the rear bumper of the car, I simply ordered another one and it came with double sided tape on it ready to install...

I like that it completely looks "stock" pretty much everyone I tell that I added it after doesn't believe me, they think it should have come from the factory that way (I agree...)

Hmm, you're not wrong... and if I used a dark gray SS rear badge, that would even add extra variety... I'll give this some thought

I went in another direction to break up all the "blackness" in the interior (especially the dash) with silver trim pieces.

Most pieces were from ebay.

Resurrecting the thread, but Capt., I think your "SS" badge strikes just the proper balance. Arpad isn't wrong: one could make the case that there's a bit of "badge overload" in there, but since one doesn't really see the seat badges while driving, then to these eyes the new one on the dash does not come across as overly obtrusive.

Question for those who have taken the plunge: how tough is it to remove the stock dash insert in order to install the carbon fiber insert (from OP's pic, for instance) in its place?
