Do you guys know if you plan on ceramic coating if it needs to go under the film or not?

Ceramic coatings go on top of the clear bra. They can't go under because the clear bra won't stick.

My front splinter was covered. There was no template (May) so he made it himself and charged $80.

Thanks man. Clear Bra Wisconsin is a one man operation in Milwaukee. As the OP mentioned, seek out the guy that is doing the dealer exotics and you'll get quality. Be prepared to have a wait unless you can schedule in advance of your cars delivery. I did two cars and waited ~2 weeks to get in.

Ok, thanks for the info. I live in the Panhandle of Florida near Pensacola, and there are a few exotic dealers around. I guess I'll have to stop in and have a talk... really appreciate it.

Some clear films are so hydrophobic that you can't even apply the coating and have it turn out well so that's another factor to consider.

I'd consider picking out a good film and getting your whole car wrapped as an alternative to coating.

A lot of them are self healing now as well so microscratches heal over time. Those are obviously more expensive but so is a good coating.

Find a quality installer is the best advice you can get. Mine cost $1240.
I spent more than that on my suntek install :(

I probably wrapped more though. Full hood, full fenders, full bumpers, mirrors, rockers and door cups.

Yeah, getting the whole car done will be too much...

I think I will clear bra the nose area, and have the rest ceramic coated.
