Time for a name? - Page 2

I ended up naming mine without really meaning to.

As a fan of the band Rush since the early 80's, I was looking for a way to tie something from the band into my license plate. The Cygnus X-1 epics from Farewell to Kings and Hemispheres have always been favorites.

Cygnus X-1 is also the first black hole that was ever discovered back in the early 70's. So, with a black car and it being an SS, I went with CYGNUSS.

I'd also thought about ESCAPOD, 1LE ISH, NTRENOS, MEATYSS, LASTV8S, GN6V8M6, TRAQTOY

The more I think about it, "RDRNNR" or "RDRUNR" are really starting to sink in

BLUEBYU or BLUBYOU (Blew By You)...kinda cool, but understand it could also be an "attention getter"

Yeah, nice. I think the 2nd option would be best, but both work.

My quick Ecoboost F150 is Doc Holiday
My 94 Camaro is step child but that was named by my buddy i bought it off of
My turbo ZX14 is just Ned
My old brown goldwing cruiser is Turd Ferguson
The Rebel 250 we just picked up for my fiancee is already Billy Idol

Now most of those names came out about because of a story, situation, moment etc. If you just let it come to be organically rather than calling it something just to call it something, i think it'll stick and actually get used by you and friends like mine are.

I absolutely love these names

...good ole Billy, slowly pushing 70 and still rocking all the same, his voice hasn't lost any of its edge

oh and his vastly underappreciated guitar buddy Steve Stevens is right there with him, too
