Pinned lt1 crank for Procharger

This week everything i order for my build comes in. Trying to figure out if the ati super dampener requires the crank to be pinned or not.

Going with the upgraded 8.25 pulley on prochargers side.
Reading the install for the super dampener says going superchager it requires you to pin the crank seeing if anyone has had to do that or if its done already or not required.
Also does crank bolt p/n 11547372 work?

Thanks everyone.

We've never pinned the crank on an Lt1 as it has keyways in the snout of the crank. We always us the GM replacement LT1 crank bolt. It was required on the LS motors but not aware of anyone pinning the LT1 motors.

you'll get a modified stock crank bolt from procharger so don't go around and buy one as it won't be long enough. I stuck with the stock balancer just because so i didn't pin my crank, people have and people haven't done it. either way you'll be fine, if you plan on doing the install yourself just know procharger doesn't send all the bolts you need and skip over a bit on info you'll need.

I have seen LT motors needing the crank pinned on higher horsepower builds because the factory key sheared off. Mainly bigger blower stuff like the F1a-94 or larger. Look up Stangkilr C7 on youtube.

thank you for that and just looked at the bolts and the oem bolt head is to wide for the hub. but the oem ls1 crank bolt fits just right the heads smaller to fit in the hub and the shank, threads are the same thank god .

my balancer wasn't ordered with the procharger kit so it wont come with that bolt is why I'm asking. also I'm only going to use a oem so going around and getting a bolt is going to be the correct size. I did find a ls1 that is the same dimensions but the head will fit in the hub without modifying it .
