Fastech Color Matched Cover Install
I just installed the Fastech aluminum cover kit in white on my Redline SS Vert. The match to the car's Olympic White by the powder coated covers was good enough that any color difference was not apparent. I deviated from the Fastech instructions by using adhesive Velcro rather than the supplied double stick so I could remove the covers without any problems. I did use the adhesive foam supplied by Fastech to eliminate rattles. I've attached photos illustrating the installed covers and Velcro placement. Also, you might notice the Chevy performance emblem on the center cover. I used a heat gun and a plastic tool to remove the emblem from the original sheet metal and then attached it with double stick tape. My SS is a daily driver that I also show, so the white panels not only look good, but are much easier to clean than the original sheet metal that often held water spots.
