Just had my passenger side replaced with the longer GM bolts in the TSB after one of our guys sheared his off playing around on the street.

I am happy to report that my 2017 Camaro SS built Nov. 2016 has the fix with longer (68mm) bolts and Nordlock style washer!!

Here's some information that might help others:
  • Old bolt = 60.2mm (between 59.75mm and 60.8mm) in overall length including head of bolt which is ~10mm.
  • New bolt = ~67.8mm (between 57.5mm and 58.3mm) in overall length including head of bolt which is ~10mm.
  • The fix also contains the Nordlock style washers.

Information on the bolt length (old vs. new): https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...5&postcount=34

Information on TSB: https://www.cadillacforums.com/forum...formation.html

Good reference thread on this topic (where both links above were pulled): https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=499904

I initially assumed I had the short bolts since mine don't stick out past the flange and end of bolt sits quite a bit inward. I had to measure mine with calipers to confirm it was in fact a 68mm bolt. I first measured from head of bolt to the edge of the axle flange. Then used a bent piece of metal to measure from edge of axle flange to back edge of bolt. I measured one on each side and got 67.77mm on one and 68mm on the other. The difference between long and short is pretty big (8mm), so the measurement does not have to be super precise to tell the difference between them.

Visually, mine looked exactly like Magnum922's pictures in the posts above. If you're not certain, I'd recommend measuring to make sure you don't waste money on the exact same bolt.

It's also worth noting that there might actually be a 3rd even longer bolt (see this thread) on the eLSD equipped cars (SS 1LE and ZL1): https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...0&postcount=46

I had it happen to me this week, at first they looked like warranty hopefully was going to cover it. But now they are saying the added power and mods void the warranty. Which I agree to a point, but I said this is happening to stock cars I am sure. It’s there excuse to screw me. I wish I had the number on how many Camaro owners are experiencing this.

Bolts backing out, come on GM and they are putting in longer bolts.
