HELP!! ZL1 Door Panels on a 1SS
**SOLVED**
- remove the original switchboard and swap that in to 2SS door panel along with wire harness! Hey Guys so I last night I swapped my door panels on my 2017 1SS. I swapped them out for the ZL1 door panels. I DID swap the electrical harness so I’m using my ORIGINAL wire harness. The issue I’m having is the mirror switch doesn’t work. I’m being told that switch won’t work due to memory seat option. So my question is can I switch out the switchboard from my 1SS door panels? Have anyone done this? Is there another solution? Everything else works fine. Last edited by cmeJATT; 03-18-2019 at 08:11 PM. |

Can't you use the switch from your door panel?

Yeah the switch should pop out. So just swap the switches.

It probably just pops off. You might be able to do it without having to remove the door panel.

I don't have any but every door panel I've ever seen the mirror and window switches pop right off. Take a pic of the back of the switch and I'll let you know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I can confirm you have to swap the switch assembly too, it's a bit of a bitch to pop out but will do the trick.

I second that. I found that out when switching my door panels to ones with spectrum lighting. You have to swap the harness and the switches.

Oky so I was able to remove the old switch from my 1SS door panel. Now I gotta find them time to swap it out on the ZL1 panel I’m relieved it was easier than I thought lol.. probably next weekend I’ll swap it!

while you have it out. You might want to do something about the round "switch" vibrating the hell out of itself against it's housing. That cheap piece of crap is the noisiest vibrating piece of plastic in the camaro aside from the rear deck plastics.
I'm so close to just dripping rubber cement all around it. Haven't needed to adjust my mirrors in over 2 years. |

Swapped door panels on a 1LT to a 2SS panel...everything works 100% with supplied panel electrical
