Newest video of Z28 at the Nurburgring - 2+ minutes

I still don't hear any whine though. But this car is moving and sounds great. Good shots of the car coming at us. Let me know what you think.

I hear it again lightly in several clips most notably listed below. Admittedly I'm surprised it wasn't heard in the first clip. Does it appear he was going slower to you guys on that clip? Maybe it was an out lap and he was still working heat into the tires.

Lightly @ 0:58
Lightly @ 1:39

You are only likely to hear supercharger whine when the car is accelerating towards the camera.

You WON'T hear it as the car accelerates away, decelerates towards you, and only a chance to hear it from the side view...even the ZL1 videos don't have much blower whine unless under these circumstances...

I don't hear anything, and I'm using the same headphones I did when I watched the first video.

I see they may be testing carbon fiber wheels during this test video because you can see the different rear wheels on a few of the clips of the same car in the video.

To me this is a N.A car with a lot of low RPM TQ, think its a new new DI LS7 or what ever they call it, good time are coming for the 6th gen, ZL1 with 640hp+ and anew Z/28 with 575 HP IMO.

If we were going to hear blower whine, it would have been the first clip. The ZL1 clearly had blower whine running down the same section of the track.

FWIW it sounds like a manual trans to me....I think perhaps this hash-marked car was thought to possibly be an automatic....It sure sounded like a couple of manual down-shifts, starting at @2:10...then a good up-shift accelerating out of the turn...

So, I finally got a chance to listen on good speakers.

No whine to my ears. A little bit of wind noise (woosh) on one of the straightaways...but no whine. Very intriguing.

This is definitely a manual transmission car, imo. Based on what we can hear, and the orange hash marks indicated the manual-transmission ZL1 prototype...so I would assume this is the same case.

Yes I remember that same section of the track and could definitely hear the whine when the ZL1 was coming at us.

I hear 0 whine. Only air and tire noises.. So, IMO, if it's indeed FI, they've made it stealthy FI.

Listen from 34 seconds on. You can EASILY here the whine on the ZL1. Listen to the two videos back to back and tell me that's the same engine.
