BEST EXHAUST SETUP FOR 22' SS 1LE

I am sure there is a thread for this somewhere.. But creating my own.

I wanted to get some opinions.. Right now I have a stock SS 1LE. Love it! But want to get some more sound..

Any preferences on exhaust out there? I was going to look into FBO etc.. But I may just get a ZLE (Hopefully) in the next year.

So best option? I see a lot on Corsa and Borla. I like a really nasty sounding exhaust. The cracks and pops.. Also do not want anything that would make it lose Power or Torque. I know in the past I have done exhausts and lost some power.

Let me know what you would get!

Headers and leave the NPP on the car. You will regret it if you dont keep that NPP on there.

Headers (of your choice) and Corsa NPP axle back exhaust w/black tips.
But if you trading into a ZLE next year, then save your money and do nothing

I bought my Camaro with 1500 miles and a pre-installed system. It has 2" Stainless Works long tube headers, 3" pipes all the way back, no cats, no flow valves, and GM racing mufflers. Sounds like a short track race car, I love it!

I would really love to do some side pipes though. That would really compliment this car.

I highly recommend the Borla S-Type. It sounds incredible, and is not as raspy like the ATAK, Corsa, or even the stock NPP. It also won't get obnoxious if you end up adding headers down the line. The videos online do not do it justice.

If you want an obnoxiously loud exhaust, then go with Corsa.

I don't personally have an aftermarket exhaust but from all the sound clips and videos I've seen, I personally think the AWE Touring sounds the absolute best (the whole catback with their X-pipe, not just the axle back).

I think it adds a depth and smoothness to the exhaust note where a lot of the other systems still have a bit of rasp.

What about the min-pipe? H or X?

This could be my first push rod engine. I’ve only dealt with Modular Engines before. Which the H pipe sounds better to me. That’s why I’m not sure between h and x.

Also, do all 1SS 1LE Camaros automatically come with the NPP and AFM valves?

My S-Type has an X pipe. I'm not sure how much of a difference an H pipe would be. With the S-Type catback the exhaust is a little louder overall, a lot deeper, and the pops are a lot louder. The stock exhaust was really raspy around 1500-3000 RPM and the S-Type completely fixes that issue, and sounds amazing through the entire range.

Headers, high flow cats, and Corsa NPP. I love it .

Borla-S is good as well. If you truly want the best mild/wild setup I would go Corsa. It’s almost stock quiet with the valves closed, and loud as hell open. That alone sold me, enter small town and see a local officer sitting off the side of the road - hit the button she quiets down and no issues. LOL
