You program the seat position to the 3rd button on the door panel, the one with the icon of a vehicle, then enable easy exit auto recall in the infotainment settings.

Welp.....I found the culprit in my situation at least, this might be what’s going on in some of these others. This part of my seatbelt seems to be rubbing against it. I just noticed this the other day and was a very sad man....I said it wasn’t like that but I also didn’t run down and look in the car....so I was wrong....dammit GM.... *♂️

I’m not terribly impressed with the coating / durability of the bolsters... being extraordinarily careful and I still see minor signs of wearing. Whether it’s the seat belt or my entry or exit, who knows. I will say it’s pretty dicey getting in and out of a convertible with the top up, in a narrow garage (door open 1/4 -1/3 open till it hits wall mounted pad). Even so, I’ve had plenty of other cars that had zero wear @ this mileage with no effort to be careful. You can see at 1600 miles a dull area and a spot with minor coating loss. I’ve chalked it up to it is what it is (drive it and enjoy it) Last edited by Chutzpah; 12-30-2019 at 08:09 PM. |

Warranty Repair
I had this same problem. The tuner I took my car to before LG had my car for 10 weeks, got in and out of my car twice a day to pull it out of the shop and put it back in while they were waiting for parts. They were overbooked and packed the cars in so tight that they had to squeeze into the cars with the doors barely open. Long story short, when I finally got my car back, I noticed similar wear to the bolsters. I took my car to the dealer and said this is premature wear and shouldn’t happen. The dealer replaced the seat cover under warranty. Maybe try that...
