Just goes to show how much weight plays a roll in these cars. My DD is an 18 Daytona..same motor as your 1320, but I think mine is at 4400 without me in it. I think mine is supposed to be a 12.5 car. Definitely feel the weight driving it. Nothing like my ZL1!

Still too hot here in FL to run my 1320 but the guys up north at Atco drag strip are having a blast .. This is the third 1320 I have seen go into the 11.30s with a great DA ..

Challenger 1320 11.32 stock rear tires, Demon fronts, foot launch, removed passenger and rear seat. Pump gas , NO tune , stock air box. Left lane ...

Just found out the car in the other lane is also a challenger 1320 , with a tune and long tube headers ..

wow! the 1320s are smoking! But with alsmost DRs and minus the seats that is a "Bolt on" time. Still impressive.

Super impressive. But I would have loved to see what the time would have been leaving the car completely stock.

What are those 396's making H/C horsepower wise?

Holy smokes!!!

What mods do you currently have to be dipping that far into the 10s, just headers and a tune?

My 1320 has the following mods:
Stainless Works Longtubes
Custom Vibrant bullet muffler dumped exhaust about 18" after Header
Tuned for Demon 116 race gas
No trans tune (big gains to be had still)
MAJOR weight reduction (gutted from seats back and a single race seat in car, 15" front conversion)
17" Weld S71 single beadlocks with MT ET Street R tires (too much tire)
AFE airbox (no HP gain)

That's it for mods.

That was my cousin's 1320, his best was 11.30 @119

His mods:
Removed passenger and rear seat
Demon front rims with MT SSR street tires 6" wide (this combo is 52lbs, the factory full size combo is 60lbs...so yes a little lighter but not a true skinny set-up)

11.48 @117.5 or so

The Demon front wheels are NOT light, TOTAL between both wheels saved is 16lbs. The seats removed saves around 110lbs.

My idea for a Chevy 1320 response:

Stick an LT5 in the new LT1 with the Gen 5 ZL1 Diff and the M6 and ZL1 A10. I bet Chevy could build that for under $50K with no options except for passenger seats for the cost of the seats. and call it the LT1 440.

And then have a commercial starting with a Yellow 1320 in the background where a red LT1 440 goes by in full smokey burn out momode. Then the 1320 starts shrinking and then goes pop and disappears. Then the new LT1 440 emoji appears which is a caroontoonish Red Camaro with huge back tires followed by smoke. And then the Chevy emblem appears and surrounds the emoji. The ad would have no words with the George Thorogood And The Destroyers performing "Bad To The Bone" start to finish fading with the final legible words "Bad To The Bone."

That would work much better than the real people crap that GM loves, or loved I think they realized that they sucked because I haven't seen them in a while now.

Chevy has no interest in the Camaro it looks like, could it be they are waiting to see how sales of the new Vette go for now and if they feel like the price of the Vette is low enough to pull sales away from the Camaro then why have them both.

Just my thought on why the Camaro gets no love from Chevy.
