Car looks and sounds great Leo! Really, the actual temp of the air entering the combustion chamber is likely no different on an e-force car than it is on a Maggie car, it's just that the sensor is in a location that will get hotter on the e-force kit. And Ed is right, it's a good extremely conservative way to design it so you can keep a tight reign on the timing advance allowed. Since they're providing a warranty, it totally makes sense why they would design it this way. I agree it's a pain to get all of the air out of the system due to the design, but once you get past that, and understand why the IAT'S are as high as they are, it's really a fine kit. And it's very true that Edelbrock's service is absolutely stellar. Anytime I have ever needed anything from them they have been very fast to respond and help.

My guess is Edelbrock chose this location to monitor IATs and also give some indication on valve/head temp as a conservative approach for tuning reasons. Pretty clever on their part.

Makes me want to punch that clown that keeps going around saying that the maggie has some supper core technology and offers the lowest IATs of anyone.. These companies all use the same rotor technology.. Edelbrock is 100 million times the size of magnison does that clown think that they would skimp on the latest core technology.. its all where the sensor is and how aggressive the tune is is..

I admit the LS3 version wasn't the best design it was 1 big unit with a removable lid.. this is a 3 piece unit with a lid making 4 parts the intakes separate between the head and between body of the blower much like a 2 piece brake rotor theory of transferring heat..

I know this a a lot better unit than the LS3 version when the car gets to operating temps there no noticeable power loss like in the previous version.
when my old LS3 got hot it felt like I didn't even have a blower... that's why i went TT on it.. I have made several consecutive pulls all yielding 1 to 2 hp difference on my LS3 my 1at pull would be 620 by my 3 rd pull it was 540..

I thinking porting will be a lot easier now to later on.. Of course I don't have any fuel upgrades to changes pulleys yet so that will be a long time!

That's what I was telling you.. my IAT's were.. After 3 mos. of jacking w air in the line.. I used a 70/30 rate and some water wetter..

This is a very fun car to drive when you step on it, and maintains perfect street manners while cruising. Don't forget about the 200ft burnouts down the freeway!

I am enjoying mine, but having some CELs that come on every once in a while but seems to clear out after a couple of days. Going to dump the canned Edelbrock tune, and have Futral Motorsport tune on their Dyno. Having it tuned on the 17th.

What codes were you seeing?

A custom tune is the way to go, but won't retain the warranty unfortunately.

Mine was (P0121) Throttle Position Sensor. Also a couple of times went into limp mode. That's when I decided to have a custom tune done.

I've put on about 1000 miles or so, and no issues. Now that the weather has warmed up, i actually have traction and the car is so damn fast.

Car looks and sounds amazing! Congrats on the FI. I had a few questions, if you dont mind.

1)how is your aeroforce gauge mounted?

2)Did you ever consider procharger?
