I sent mine off to...Boarding School...2 weeks ago. I really miss her but I know she is bettter off. Like PS16 we get 100+" snow every year, not to mention the salt and crap they put on the roads, that will eat your car! lol

Really looking forward to Spring...but Really looking forward to moving someplace, one day soon, where I don't have to put her away!

Mine is going up soon. Had it out last night when it was 28 degrees. It always thought it could be a handful when warm but it is insane when the tires are that cold.

Keep in mind if you’re on the stock SS tires, they are not recommended to be used in temps under 40 degrees... If you’re running something else that is ok in cold weather, then please disregard.

Yep snow sucks and the cold is worst minus 30’s is normal. But I can move snow, a hurricane goes through down south and it moves your house!

Once the six months is up, it makes getting the car or the bike out that much sweeter.

I’ve stored numerous classic muscle cars. Once modern muscle surpasses the old greats, I move on.

Not only is it a modern Camaro, it’s also a car that depreciates rapidly ...whether you drive it or not. So drive it!

Most fun is that as I put performance winter tires on, the dropping density altitude makes it significantly more powerful. I’ve driven in -4500 DA.

It’s also very satisfying to look at a clean, well used car that you drove since new.

This will be my four winter on this set of OE size Sottozeros. Two on my 16 and this will be the second on the 18. ~4,400 miles each winter.

You're right, it's still on the stock SS Eagle F1 tires. I just didn't think they were that serious about the temperature.

I assumed they were being overly cautious like most car related warnings. They weren't. It actually felt like I was hitting patches of ice.

Very true, the OEM Goodyears will try to kill you when you don't even expect it. I had the rear end shift around nastily at medium throttle already in 50-55 degree weather. Wet road surface made it worse, and in heavy rain, just forget it, 35-40 mph in the right lane at best, with the hazards on... a lot of sacrifice for their surprisingly good dry grip.

A few months ago I've switched to a PS4S set, they're much better and actually pretty workable down to about 40 degrees, and of course (in normal temps) they are the absolute king of wet traction.

That's really good to know!

I like your summary.
I would add "a little bit of gravel" to your list of things these tires don't like.
There are so many things they DON'T do well, I wonder if they are even capable of the "run on flat" bit!

Finally convertible weather here again in the desert!

Time to break the Z4 out from its Summer Slumber.
