Phone audio issue
MyLink infotainment sucks!
So Apple carplay still does not work with my iphone 6, but another issue popped up. When my phone connected to bluetooth in car yesterday i seemingly could not hear any audio while driving and making a call. The caller said they could hear me fine. I pulled over and realized I could barely hear the caller, seemingly only on the center channel speaker and probably less than 40db, so it was very faint. Nothing worked to change that and had to switch to hand hold the phone and disconnect the bluetooth. Then I also noticed that the radio will not turn up higher than "35" on the audio volume setting. it actually gets fainter the louder you turn it up...loudest at about "35" which was only 99db. Seems the volume settings 35-50 are useless. Before you ask, the Teen Driver audio settings are not activated any thoughts? |

I pulled the negative battery cable and let it sit overnight.
Reconnected after about 24 hours and everything started working again. It almost seemed as though it was stuck in a mute mode like it does when navigation cuts in and announces while on a call. Radio volume works normally and phone routes through all front speakers. Interestingly, I have another question...with battery disconnected, I had a challenge to get back into the vehicle...the trunk latch would not activate to unlock. Doors would not unlock. So I had to get the metal key embedded in the Fob and open the door manually and they drop the back seat and reach through to the safety latch to pop the trunk. SMH |
