Help me identify this muffler

So I bought a 2018 2SS M6 today and was expecting it to have the NPP exhaust but when I started it, it was pretty loud so I knew something wasn't right. Upon inspection, I see these things installed. The vehicle itself does have the "mode" switch for "tour, sport, and track" modes. I know they are Flowmasters but I can't find any with quad tips (unless those were taken from the original and welded in place). Also, it would be nice to know what these are worth, if anything.

Yeah, probably some old tips welded on. Looks like the Delta 44s.

Ok so these are garbage. Next question: buy a stock NPP exhaust or go for a catback?

That looks custom. I have a hunch it's the flowmaster super 10s and was inspired from this thread: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=491224

The tips appear to be welded on separately. In fact it looks like the mufflers that he sold in this thread: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=548589

If you have npp get a catback with valves. Borla or Flowmaster works

They are cheap. The previous owner of my Camaro did something similar where they welded in a similar type muffler and welded on the original tips to the muffler. I bet the car drones something fierce as well. Go get a quality aftermarket catback. You'll likely spend more than you should on a factory NPP so might as well get something aftermarket that utilizes the factory NPP system as well.

This one does not retain NPP and has a single outlet to the tips.

I'll look into those. Thanks!

Yes...it drones like crazy!I hear the stock NPP exhaust can be had for next to nothing. Not sure if it would be cheaper to go that route because I'm looking to tone this thing down as it is loud as hell and might be intolerable when I add longtubes.

All SS's have the mode switch, but may or may not have NPP and/or MRC. I'd get under there and make sure that you have the connectors for the NPP valves, or check the build codes in the trunk to make sure the car is (was) equipped with NPP.

Good idea to confirm but yes, the RPO code for NPP is on the label in the trunk and I physically checked to make sure that wiring for the actuators were intact and they are.

The other thing is these cutbacks use the oem actuators. Where are the originals?

Those are 100% Flowmaster 10 series mufflers.
