A8 acceleration lag when in manual mode 3rd gear
Hi, has anyone else got the throttle lag when in 3rd gear using the paddles? It is really annoying. Not there every time but just when you need it and put your foot down, nothing happens for 2 seconds and then it takes off. Can be dangerous when you are passing buses, trucks etc.....
Does anyone know why this is or is there any way to tune this out? Thanks |

This definitely sounds like some other issue. I have never had issues of lag ever, even in auto. Are you getting any TC or SC kicking in while you do this?

Sounds like the EU versions programming to pass noise regulations at specific speeds. I have that. It is by design!
Technically it's possible to tune it out completely, but you may lose the legal right to drive the car, if that is something to fuss you. On top of that, I heard of an official software update which ought to improve the behavior somehow - you'd need to check with your dealer. |

Yes, this is a "feature" of the EU version. You'll notice the throttle lag and a change in exhaust note in both manual and automatic mode at approx. 30mph (2k-3k rpm). Apparently it was necessary to pass EU noise regs.
